Winter is still here, but we're dreaming of upcoming sunny spring days. As it starts to get warmer we can start shedding all the bulky layers, sweaters, hats, and boots. So let's look at some ways to effortlessly transition our wardrobe from winter to spring.
Tip 1. Grab these 4 essentials to take you from winter to spring:
- Cardigan or Chunky Sweater. Use these for layering with your spring dresses and tanks.
- Ankle boots. These are great for pairing with your new spring denim, but also your spring skirts and dresses too when there's still some snow on the ground.
- Tights. Add a pair of tights under your skirt and dress if it's still a little too cold for bare legs just yet.
- Layering basics. Layer your winter closet staples with your new spring pieces when the temps are inconsistent.
Tip 2. Switch Out Ankle Booties for Flats
We love our boots for winter, but there comes a point when we're ready for something a little more springy and feminine. When the weather starts to warm up switch out those clunky boots for a pretty pair of flats.
Tip 3. Add a Layer Over Your Dress
Add a layer like a cardigan or denim jacket over your dress when it's not quite warm enough yet for bare arms. Need some extra layering warmth? Just add tights to your dress!
Tip 4. Swap out your Heavy Coat for a Light Jacket
As soon as that snow stops and the sun starts coming it's time to swap out your heavy winter coat for a cuter light layer. A classic denim jacket is always a great go to or try an on trend utility jacket to update your spring style.
Tip 5. Add Lighter Layers to Your Leggings Look
Like most of us, you’ve probably had the oversized sweaters and leggings look on repeat since fall. Now that spring is around the corner, it’s time to swap out those heavy sweaters for lighter-weight layers sure to get us through the spring temps.
