My 10 Favorite Podcasts Right Now

I discovered podcasts when my daughter, Waverly was first born in 2017. Before Waverly was born, I was a full time store manager of a clothing store. I spent 40-50+ hours a week managing a staff and dealing with customers on a daily basis. Even when I was at home I was calling to check in on the store's sales, mapping out floor sets, making schedules, planning meetings... I was busy.  I was constantly on the move and constantly talking to people. Leaving that all behind and becoming a work from home mom was a big change for me and I really struggled with this in Waverly's first year. I had such mom guilt and felt bad, but I absolutely hated being at home all the time. But then I wanted to be home with her so I didn't miss out on all the little things she was doing, but I also missed getting out of the house and interacting with adults.
I was scrolling Facebook one night and one of Allie Casazza's posts caught my attention. It was a post talking about her podcast and her latest episode "It's Okay to Change Your Mind." This podcast episode started it all for me. I was so excited to tune in to each episode and listen to conversations between real life moms and business owners about the things I was dealing with everyday. It felt good to listen to adult conversation and I start to see a shift in my mood and my mindset.  I've changed so many things for the better in my life and made so many positive decisions since I discovered Allie's podcast and others.
The biggest one was that my husband and I discovered minimalism, decluttered every inch of our house and downsized into a smaller home. One of our best decisions ever! We are so much happier in a smaller, more manageable home. I spend less time cleaning and we are so much more thoughtful and careful about what comes into our home. With podcasts, I've rediscovered my love of reading, have learned to make self-care a priority, gotten useful parenting hacks,  cleaning tips, and even ways to manage my time and business better.
I could go on and on about the benefits of podcasts. It's free entertainment that you can listen to anywhere. I love to listen in the car, while I'm cleaning the kitchen or even while I'm enjoying my weekly self care bath. I could go on and on about the benefits of podcasts, but here's a list of my current favorites!
